Why We Need Funding
Keeping senior dogs healthy and happy takes resources—and we can’t do it alone.
When new dogs arrive, they often come from uncertain situations, sometimes neglected or without medical records. Each one receives a full wellness exam, including:
Comprehensive senior bloodwork ($176)
Vaccinations ($20–$30 each)
A 4Dx snap test for heartworm and tick diseases ($36)
Dental exams and cleanings, often with extractions ($500 average)
Spay/neuter surgery when medically safe ($250–$450)
Medications for chronic conditions such as heart disease (avg. $75/month per dog)
The average intake cost per senior dog is about $298, not including surgeries or ongoing care.
All prices reflect discounted rescue rates from our incredible partner clinics—but with so many seniors needing help, the costs add up fast.
